Terre del Cotto Foglia Tonda is a Tuscan red wine born from a choice of vision and patience.
After experimental tastings conducted in 2010 at other estates, Tenute Beltrami decided to invest in this rare and distinctive grape variety, planting it in 2012 in the Madonna dell’Impruneta and Cantagallo vineyards.
After an initial trial harvest in 2019, 2021 marks the first pure vinification, giving life to a wine of great personality and character.
The result is an extremely distinctive Tuscan Red Wine, which immediately strikes with its very intense dark red color, crossed by violet reflections.
On the nose it opens with deep aromas of dark berry fruit, from blackberry to plum, which evolve naturally based on the vintage and fruit maturation, accompanied by spicy notes of varying intensity.
Vinification takes place in steel with temperature-controlled co-inoculation system, followed by aging in steel and subsequent bottle aging, a choice that preserves the aromatic integrity of the grape variety.
On the palate the wine confirms all the intensity perceived on the nose, with deep fruity components, a well-balanced tannin and excellent harmony between structure and acidity.
The tasting leaves the palate clean, precise and persistent.
